Dr. Alfonsina Candiello is a medical doctor who graduated in 2000 from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She completed her Clinical Cardiology residency at Hospital Argerich in Buenos Aires and her Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the Cardiovascular Institute of Buenos Aires (ICBA). Dr. Candiello currently serves as a clinical cardiologist, specializing in the treatment of patient with ischemic heart disease and aortic stenosis.
In addition, Alfonsina is the regional co-champion of the Stent-Save a Life! in Latin America, which is affiliated with the European Society of Cardiology.
In this context, she is particularly interested in contributing to the development of networks for STEMI treatment in Argentina.
Furthermore, she is a co-founder and director of the medical blog Medecs, which provides daily updated and high-quality information related to cardiology, aimed at promoting continuous medical education for her colleagues in Latin America.

Dr. Reem Hasan received her medical degree in Aleppo, Syria in 2005 as MMBS, and joined General Internal Medicine residency in Aleppo University Hospital for 4 years. She worked as a medical specialist from 2010 to 2018 in Saudi Arabia, then joined Adult Cardiology Fellowship Program in Saud Al-Babtain Cardiac Center until 2021 and was certified as adult cardiology Associate Consultant.
Currently she practices general cardiology in Saud Al-Babtain Cardiac Center in noninvasive departments. She is interested in Echocardiography and Cardiac Imaging, planning to complete subspecialty in the future.

Dr. Zille Huma is cardiologist with 7 years of work experience in general cardiology both in Pakistan and at Portsmouth hospital, NHS. She has recently completed her training as Interventional cardiology fellow from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Karachi which is one of the highest volume centres of coronary intervention especially Primary PCI. She aspires to progress her professional journey further in interventional cardiology, with a special interest in intravascular imaging and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Furthermore, she has a research interest in Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and is currently engaged in various research projects at NICVD that investigate the outcomes of ACS/PPCI. Dr. Huma also holds a Fellowship with APSIC.

Dr. Mihajlo Kovacic graduated from Medical school in Zagreb, Croatia in 2008. He is an internal medicine specialist and interventional cardiologist, working in County hospital Cakovec, Croatia as Head of the Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology departments. He is a high-volume interventional cardiologist doing complex PCI, CHIP, Left main, rotablation, and imaging, with a special interest in CTO - hybrid approach, minimalistic, with a passion for trans-radial/ulnar access and radiation protection. Also practicing advanced echocardiography, and implanting pacemakers and ICDs. He is the author of CTO TOOLBOX. Books of CTO PCI devices with a detailed description of the construction and purpose, with tips&tricks. He is a member and faculty of many CTO&CHIP meetings. He is currently active in social media and believes that with this modern way of communication, people can easily share knowledge and experience.

Erik Rafflenbeul is a consultant interventional cardiologist and head of cathlab at Schoen Clinic Hamburg Eilbek, Hamburg, Germany. He is passionate about Complex and High-risk Coronary Interventions (CHIP) and all fields of interventional cardiology esp. access routes like #radialfirst, #snuffbox and #dTRA.
Erik is a voted nucleus member of the working group for interventional cardiology (@AGIKinterv; German Society of Cardiology) and he is an active SocialMedia editor for @ESC_Journals (#EHJCaseReports).
Teaching young fellows and colleagues who are passionate about cardiology is one of his main goals in daily practice (#eEducation).

Dr. Hany Ragy, graduated in Cairo in 1980, trained in USA, Holland, and Germany. He was an ex-head of Cardiology Department at Egypt’s largest cardiology hospital the National Heart Institute. He is a high-volume interventional cardiologist in both coronary interventions and mitral balloon Valvuloplasty, including invasive and non-invasive imaging and physiology. In addition, he recently shifted his interest to prevention and combatting NCD’s and help leading the NGO efforts in Egypt. He has featured in numerous publications and currently active on social media.

Dr. Amit Singh is currently a cardiology fellow at the King Edward Memorial University Hospital in India. His interests are CHIP (Complex, High risk Indicated PCIs) and Transcather valve therapies. He intends to advance his learning and pursue an interventional cardiology fellowship in the future. He has been actively associated with SummitMD CVRF. He believes that serving as a social media ambassador for CVRF meetings has enhanced his learning by dissipating valuable insights to other fellows on social platforms, helping engage & build meaningful relationships with the giants and stalwarts in the field. He aspires to further his learning at Asan Medical Center.

Dr. Indah Sukmawati is an Indonesian Cardiologist with an interest in interventional cardiology and complex coronary interventions which she is currently undergoing training in National University Heart Centre Singapore. Upon completion of the training, she will return to Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village and Universitas Pelita Harapan in Tangerang - Indonesia to serve as interventional cardiologist and as staff lecturer. She is actively involved in Indonesian Heart Association (IHA) as Secretary for Woman Cardiology Task Force. Dr. Sukmawati also enjoys being involved as Social Media Consultant for JACC Case Reports and Social Media Editor for The Indonesian Society of Interventional Cardiology. She also serves as Head of Book Publishing Team in Banten Chapter of IHA which she had helped her colleagues to publish 31 cardiology books and 1 laymen heart health education book. She had authored and co-authored 3 books and served as primary editor for 3 books.

After earning medical degree as a gold medalist in 2006 from University of Gondar, Dr. Shibikom Tamirat really don’t want to waste time serving as a general practitioner. Since his whole purpose in life is to serve his community at large, he couldn’t think of any better discipline in medicine better than surgery. Just after working in department of surgery at University of Gondar for a year, Dr. Tamirat quickly joined the residency program there. Throughout his stay in Gondar, he used to see a lot of clients suffering from different cardiac ailments visiting the hospital at regular basis just to get their drugs refilled. Since there was no readily available cardiac surgical service in Ethiopia, they just have to go through the natural history of the illness. Having seen and felt their agony, Dr. Tamirat entered the world of cardiac surgery. Being a pioneer cardiac surgeon in Ethiopia, he was so passionate and committed to pursue all the knowledge and skill required to become an independent and resourceful Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon for his country. So that is why Dr. Shibikom Tamirat went to Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences in India for a three year fellowship. Since mid of 2017 and until now he is practicing cardiac surgery in Ethiopia with all the challenges.

Her work supports physicians’, medical societies’ and industry’s efforts to improve patient care. Key long-standing relationships and a vast network, along with continuous assessment of the medical landscape, have been fundamental to engaging expert clinicians and researchers, and enabling insights and identification of trends in clinical practice. Areas of work include: strategic dissemination of scientific and clinical information, coordination of interaction with opinion leaders, advisory board development and facilitation, meeting strategy and promotion, publication plans and medical congress strategies, medical symposia, education strategy and materials development, scientific communication strategy and materials, and evidence generation strategies. Of particular interest are coronary physiology and intravascular imaging, where Mona Tiren’s niche expertise is unparalleled. With experience from start-up to large corporation, past roles include head of global Clinical Marketing for St Jude Medical, covering heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, vascular disease, structural heart disease, chronic pain and movement disorders; and pioneering work in the field of intravascular pressure sensors and physiological assessment at RADI Medical Systems.

Dr. Vo is an Interventional cardiologist and a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), a member of The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) and a member of The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) after obtaining his medical degree from The University of Melbourne.

He completed his cardiology training at various Australian teaching hospitals; Royal North Shore Hospital, Ryde Hospital, Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and Royal Darwin Hospital. He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Queensland, Australia. During his time as a trainee he was involved in approximately 4000 procedures in not only coronary work with complex higher risk and indicated patients (CHIP) including left main stenting, graft and bifurcation stenting, primary PCI, CTO, rotablation, coronary physiology and imaging and but also engaged in structural training as well with TAVI, BAV and PFO/ASD closures.

He believes in sowing back to the younger generations of medical students, junior medical officers and cardiology trainees (and nurses) and enjoys teaching both at the bedside and within the cath lab.
